Sit Walk Stay
Pet Sitting Contract

(Hereinafter referred to as “the Sitter/Sitter of Sit Walk Stay”)

(Hereinafter referred to as “the Sitter”)

This agreement enables the homeowner/owner and sitter to agree terms of what is expected from
each party regarding the agreement. Throughout the document the term ‘Sitter’ refers to either
House sitting and or Pet sitting.

The Homeowner grants permission to the Sitter to occupy the above premises to the terms and
conditions contained in this Agreement.
1. THE HOMEOWNER AGREES
1.1 To provide all food and sundry items and equipment for the care of all Pet(s), alternatively the
Homeowner agrees to reimburse the Sitter for any food or supplies bought for the Pet(s) during the
agreement.

1.2 To make arrangements for the payment for any services provided by a qualified veterinarian in
the treatment and care of the Homeowner/s Pet(s)

1.3 To inform the Vet of the dates the House-sitter will be responsible for the pet(s).

1.4 To give full details of all pets requiring care during the agreement (including all details as per
section 4.1).

1.5 To provide the Sitter with at least 14 (Fourteen) days; notice of any change to the agreed first
day of the Pet/House sitting agreement.

1.6 To provide premises clean and fit to live in.

1.7 To provide the Sitter with a set of keys for the premises. A spare set of keys may be left with a
neighbor(s)/local contact if required and to inform the Sitter if anyone else is expected to be coming
to the property during the Homeowners absence, ie friend, relative, and whether or not they have
their own key.

1.8 To the use of the house telephone being used in an emergency by the Sitter for care of the Pet(s)
or the Sitter his/her self.

1.9 That the Sitter may be granted Internet access through the house broadband facilities. This topic
will be discussed during the set-up visit.

2. THE SITTER OF SIT WALK STAY AGREES
2.1 To give every reasonable effort to ensure the good health, cleanliness, comfort, safety and
happiness of the Pet(s) covered by this agreement.

2.2 To be responsible for any act by any person invited on to the premises by the Sitter.

2.3 Not to use or allow the premises to be used, for any illegal purpose.

2.4 Not to cause a nuisance or allow a nuisance to be caused on the premises.

2.5 Not to interfere, or allow others to interfere with the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of
any neighbors.

2.6 Not to sub-let the premises nor to allow any person to live or temporarily stay unless the
Homeowner grants permission.

2.7 Not to keep any Pet(s) on the premises other than those listed in this agreement without the
permission of the homeowner.

2.8 Not to cause or allow any damage to be caused the premises and to notify the homeowner as
soon as possible of any damage to the premises.

2.9. To deal with household rubbish and recycling as directed by the Homeowner.

3. To report any infestation of the premises to the Homeowner and reasonable efforts to seek
resolution of such problems.

3.1 To ensure that reasonable security measures are used in safeguarding the property and its
contents, as instructed by the Homeowner.

3.2 Any changes will be agreed upon unless a emergency situation has arisen and THE OWNER will
be notified and replacement cover will be allocated as per Section 4. Any further requirements for
the Pets needs are shown on separate Pet Information Sheet and Pet Form as provided by THE
SITTER.
*Confirmation Email will state visits per hour, dates and times, any time before due of sit or after the
sit the Sitter will not be responsible or liable for Pet(s).
3.3 Not to leave any Pet(s) if they are unwell (excluding any prior illness where the OWNER is aware
and doesn’t need the SITTER to stay with the dog).

3.4 The sitter to provide their own food, bedding and towels unless provided by the homeowner and
agreed upon usage.

3.5 The Sitter must vacate the premises at the end of the term of this agreement and leave the
premises clean and fit to live in.

4. PETS

4.1 Name, describe and complete the following (Section 4) for each Pet to be covered by this
Agreement in the Pet Information sheet and the Pet Form.

4.2 Give details of how you would like Pet animal to be managed on a daily basis.

4.3 Include details of any medications or special treatment that each Pet requires.

4.4 Please ensure, where required, that all Pet(s) are up to date with their vaccinations, worm
treatment and flea/tick prevention.

4.5 In the event of any unforeseen circumstances during your absence from home, please give
details of any friend, relative or NOK who will be able to take responsibility for your Pet(s)

4+ Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, the Sitter shall contact the Owner/Fiend/NOK at the numbers
provided to confirm the choice of action. If the Owner/Friend/NOK cannot be reached within 3
attempts, the Sitter is authorized to:
4.1+ Transport the pet(s) to the listed veterinarian & Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian.
4.3.+ Transport the pet(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous option is not feasible.
7.4. By agreeing to this Pet/House Sitting contract, the Sitter of Sit Walk Stay is allowed to undertake
Canine First Aid in the event of an emergency and is not liable for any fee(s) for damages caused by
life-saving measures, by signing below I agree my dog(s).

5. PAYMENT REIMBURSEMENTS:

The Homeowner will agree to pay or reimburse the Sitter for:

5.1 All Pet costs paid by the Sitter in the care of the pet(s) listed in this agreement.

5.2 All costs of emergency repairs or pre-arranged routine maintenance of the premises.

5.3 Any reasonable costs that the Sitter has incurred for making repairs to the premises so long as:
The Sitter was not in breach of this agreement when the damage occurred.

5.4 The Sitter gives the Homeowner, or their nominated contact, opportunity to access and to make
repairs.

5.5 The Sitter makes a reasonable attempt to have engaged a tradesperson to make the repairs
incurred within the timeframe of the SITTERS stay.

5.6 The Sitter provides receipts for any costs incurred.

6.CANCELLATIONS

6.1 A ‘booking’ refers to all Sit Walk Stay services. ie Pet/House Sitting, Dog walking and Dog
Training. To secure date(s) of Pet/House sitting, 25% nonrefundable deposit is required. If a booking
is cancelled within 14 (fourteen) days prior to start date of Pet Sitting/House Sitting, the client will be
required to pay 50% of the total booking fee to the Sitter. Any cancellation made within 5 (five) days

or within the stay's timeframe will not be refunded. Any refunds will be at the discretion of The
Sitter of Sit Walk Stay.

6.2 Should the Pet(s) become aggressive or dangerous, the Sitter may terminate this Pet/House
Sitting contract with immediate effect (excluding any prior knowledge about said
aggressive/aggravated behaviors and a training plan/situation plan is in place – Must be noted on
the Pet information sheet and Pet form). The Sitter may terminate this contract for any reason.
6.3 Should the Owner(s) become disrespectful or violent, the Sitter may terminate this Pet/House
Sitting contract with immediate effect.
6.4 Any wrongful or misleading information in the Owner’s Information or Pet Information sheet or
Pet Form may constitute a “breach of terms” of this Pet/House Sitting Contract and be grounds for
instant termination thereafter.

7. PAYMENT

7.1 All services rendered by the Sitter for the Owner / Home Owner will require full payment 1
Month (or 4 weeks) prior to start of Pet sit/House sit. To secure date(s) of Pet/House Sit, 25%
nonrefundable deposit is required, dates will not be secured till deposit confirmed.
An invoice will be given and payment forthcoming.
Any late payments will incur a £5 fee per day until payment received or the Sit may be cancelled by
The Sitter. Any non-payment will be met with court action and all incurred fees from said action will
be liable and payable by the Owner / Home Owner.

8. PAYMENT AGREEMENTS

8.1 Payment agreements may be set up by Sitter and House Owner/ Owner prior to Pet/House
Sitting;

8.2 Full payment will be due 1 Month prior to Pet/House Sit Date.
8.3 A 3 Month Payment Plan May be agreed upon in introduction and a separate contract will be
signed.

9. Use of information and contract

9.1 Sit Walk Stay does not give permission for reuse for any purpose of any information or contracts given or taken from Sit Walk Stay. Re-use of any information or contracts presented under the Sit Walk Stay name will be liable under court of law as a breach of copyright or contract. 

10. Non-Compete

10.1 The Owner confirms that by agreeing to this contract that they enter into a non compete with Sit Walk Stay. All information, training processes and documents related to Sit Walk Stay continue  to be property of Sit Walk Stay and no permission is given to re-use or replicate. The Owner participating in introduction courses, seminars, workshops, instructor courses, training or any other services that are offered by Sit Walk Stay agrees not to conduct/hold/offer such or similar, to the general public or another business or third parties within the United Kingdom. ONLY
with written consent from Sit Walk Stay can this agreement be changed. Once use of Sit Walk Stay services have concluded The Owner cannot without written permission Hold/Conduct/Offer such or similar, to the general public or another business or third parties within the United Kingdom for a period of 12 months. Any breach of the non-compete will result in law recourse.
